The activist was fined because of something the police found in her bedside locker.

The Savetski District Court of Minsk assigned civil activist Nina Bahinskaya another large fine in absentia — 2,400 rubles (600 base fees), Belsat learned. The basis for drawing up the protocol was a national flag that the police found in the bedside locker in the pensioner’s room during a search at the end of March.

Last week, Nina Bahinskaya was fined 2,000 rubles by the Partyzansky District Court for “a white badge with a picture of white and red colors.”

Nina Bahinskaya does not go to court trials as a matter of principle and does not pay fines. She previously stated that she considered them illegal, aimed at humiliating the national dignity of Belarusians.
