Belarusian Basketball Players Banned

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has extended the suspension of Belarusian and Russian teams from competitions under its auspices.

“The Central Council has extended the current status of the national federations of Russia and Belarus until the next meeting in December 2024,” FIBA said in a press release.

FIBA suspended teams from Belarus and Russia from competing after the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
