Because of the statements made by the KGB head.

A representative of the Belarusian Embassy was summoned to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry and was given a corresponding note of protest. This was reported by the press service of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

Lithuania protested to Belarus in connection with statements by officials about allegedly preparing attacks on Minsk using unmanned aerial vehicles.

“Such statements by representatives of the Belarusian regime have nothing to do with reality,” the Lithuanian department noted. Vilnius also demanded that Minsk immediately refute the disinformation.

As the website Charter97.org wrote earlier, head of the Belarusian KGB Ivan Tsiartsel said that the Belarusian special services allegedly “prevented drone strikes from Lithuanian territory on targets in Minsk.”
