Russian Military Helicopter Crashes In Occupied Abkhazia

A military helicopter MI-24 crashed in Gulrypsh district of the Russian-occupied part of Abkhazia. Three crew members survived. This is reported by the local news agency of Apsnypress.

"A MI-24 helicopter of the Ministry of Defence of Abkhazia has crashed in Gulrypsh district," the report says.

"Commander of the Air Force" of Abkhazia Adgur Gumba said that there were three people in the downed helicopter and all of them survived.

The "Minister of Emergency Situations" Lev Kvitsinia also arrived at the crash site. According to local media, the helicopter belonged to the "Ministry of Defence" of Abkhazia.

The causes of the accident are being investigated.
