The man has been detained.

The person who ordered the assassination attempt on the Russian oppositionist, former chief of staff of Alexei Navalny, Leonid Volkov, was detained in Poland, said Prime Minister of the Republic Donald Tusk.

“A Belarusian working for the Russians, who ordered the murder of Navalny’s comrade-in-arms to two Poles, has been detained. The attackers have also already been detained. They are associated with ultras fan circles. There will be no leniency towards employees of Russian services,” he wrote on his page on the social network X.

Earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda reported that two people involved in the assassination attempt on Volkov in Vilnius were detained in Poland. The President added that the suspects would be handed over to Lithuania.

A day earlier, an agent of the Russian special services was detained in Poland, who helped prepare an assassination attempt at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
