Worker Single-Handedly Stops Shop Of His Plant In Homel

We are talking about the Homel plant of start-up engines.

On April 12, the court of Savetski district of Homel sentenced Ivan Pamesiachny, an employee of the Homel plant of starting engines, to three years in a penal colony. He was accused of "blocking or modification of computer information, causing serious consequences" under part 3 of article 350 of the Criminal Code. The sentence was passed by Judge Aliaksandr Mokharau, human rights activists report.

According to the prosecution's version, on November 16, 2022, Ivan Pamesiachny deleted access to system files, bringing the software into a malfunctioning state. His actions blocked the "computer system" and caused "grave consequences in the form of material costs aimed at attracting a contracting organisation to perform work on the development of new programs, documentation and works, in the amount of 99,000 rubles".

As a result, Ivan Pamesiachny was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a reinforced regime colony. In addition, the Homel resident was ordered to pay 98,500 rubles to the enterprise as compensation for damages.
