Many of them simply did not fly out during launches.

At least half of the ballistic missiles launched by Iran against Israel during yesterday's massive attack have failed. These weapons either did not fly out during launches, or failed or crashed in flight, or crashed before reaching their targets.

ABC News reports.

The data on the percentage of missiles that were incapacitated during the attack on Israel was confirmed to Western journalists by two American officials who were not named.

Before that, a senior US official said that among the more than 300 drones, cruise and ballistic missiles there were from 115 to 135 ballistic missiles launched against Israel.

The publication indicates that this means that only half of the ballistic missiles launched by Iran were to be shot down by the air defence systems of Israel and other countries on the night of April 14.
