Traffic At Trans-Baikal Railway Halted In Russia For Several Days

The traffic at the Trans-Baikal railway has been stopped in Russia. A car crashed into a goods train. 20 carriages went off the rails.

The incident occurred at the Bamovskaya - Gorely section. According to Telegram channel Baza, close to the Russian security forces, the traffic on this section of the Trans-Baikal railway may be blocked for several days because of the incident.

A passenger car was travelling along a highway that runs along the tracks, and at some point the driver failed to cope with the steering. The car flew off the road and crashed into a freight train, causing 20 empty wagons to derail and seriously injuring the car's owner. The railway was severely damaged, so the tracks will have to be repaired for some time.
