A vaccine against caries is being developed in Belarus. The chief freelance dentist of the Ministry of Health, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Professor Siarhei Rubnikovich spoke about this.

“We are trying to create a drug, a vaccine, that would prevent the processes that cause dental caries from multiplying, preventing these microorganisms from attaching to the hard tissue of the tooth,” he said.

Earlier, in Belarus they announced the creation of “vaccines against binge drinking.” And at the end of 2023, the Ministry of Health announced the completion of trials of the domestic vaccine against COVID-19.
