Saboteurs Blow Up Two Aircraft & Helicopter At Government Airfield Near Moscow

The leadership of the Russian Federation has been gripped by panic.

At the Chkalovsky airfield, a group of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is investigating sabotage, as a result of which on September 18, 2023, 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter were significantly damaged. The event caused great hysteria in the highest military corridors — the airfield is a base for government aircraft, the so-called, “doomsday planes”, and reconnaissance aircraft.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Unknown persons planted explosives at a heavily guarded airfield and blew up AN-148 and IL-20 aircraft (both belonging to the 354th Special Purpose Aviation Regiment), as well as an MI-28N helicopter, which had previously been actively involved in shooting down attack drones in the Moscow region.

The damage to the aircraft makes their rapid restoration highly unlikely. The helicopter's tail section was damaged by the explosion. Another AN-148, located next to the others in the parking lot, received minor damage.

In the Russian Federation, measures are being taken to search for saboteurs and limit the dissemination of information about the event in the media.
