Lavrov Arrives At BRICS Summit Instead Of Scared Putin

The Russian foreign minister was greeted with strange dancing in Johannesburg.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in South Africa for the BRICS summit, the ВВС reports.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was invited to the summit. His trip had long been in doubt because of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.

On July 19, it became known that Lavrov would go instead of Putin. On July 30, Putin himself formulated his decision to stay in Russia as follows: "I don't think that my presence at the BRICS summit is more important than my presence in Russia right now".
