Wood processing enterprises in Belarus will transfer part of their revenues to special accounts.

The Council of Ministers has set the amount of deductions to the special accounts in the Development Bank in 2023. Government Resolution № 220 of March 31 has been officially published today on the National Legal Internet Portal. Money from these accounts will be used to pay off debts to the budget.

A total of eight companies will have to transfer Br236.4 thousand, €4.32 million and almost $839 thousand to the accounts over a year.

At the same time, if there is a net profit in 2023, the enterprises will have to transfer 60% of sales revenues, after deducting some costs, to the accounts.

The decree applies to:

Barysaudreu,

Vitsebskdreu,

Homeldreu,

Mahilioudreu,

Mazyr Woodworking Company,

Mastoudreu,

Navasverzhensk timber plant,

Rechytsadreu.

As Charter97.org reported, Lukashenka's "modernization" of woodworking ended in failure and bankrupted the industry.
