The Bike Path Leads Into Trenches

The mousetrap in Russia has slammed shut.
When Russia occupied the Crimea in 2014, the majority of Russians were ecstatic, some lived their lives as if nothing had happened (we don’t watch TV, politics are far away, and we have a quarterly report and team building planned), and only a few people talked about war, catastrophe and crime against the neighboring country.
When Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, someone was horrified, left Russia and began to help the Ukrainians, but the majority triumphed, lined up with the letter Z and dreamed of “Washington”, and a part (quite a significant one) stubbornly continued to pretend that nothing happened - after all, we have bike paths, food courts and tickets to the Bolshoi Theater.
The State Duma, without bothering to study the documents, adopted amendments on the creation of a unified register of those liable for military service and on the possibility of duplicating ordinary subpoenas with electronic ones. The electronic subpoenas will be considered delivered from the moment it is posted in your personal account on public services. From the date of receipt of the summons and until the appearance at the military registration and enlistment office, it is prohibited to leave the Russian Federation. And there is still the prospect that a life sentence for treason will be introduced, and treason can be interpreted in any possible way.
The mousetrap slammed shut, the bike path leads to the trenches, instead of a theatrical drama — there’s real death in a war started by a mad dictator. But everything is logical. If the ruler believes that the country is his, private property — by his permission, then he begins to dispose of the population at his own discretion. If it were not the population, but citizens, then there would be resistance, after all, for more than eight years there was an opportunity to protest, leave, and help Ukraine. Those who were silent in 2014, did not realize in 2022, will not have a chance for life and freedom in 2023. But it is impossible to endlessly warn — leave, let's all work together for the victory of Ukraine.
