Berazino Man Ends Up In ICU After Filming Traffic Police On Camera

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate behaved impudently and insulted drivers.

In Berazino, the law-enforcers detained a man for filming how the traffic police were checking minibuses. He was taken to the police department, and an hour later he ended up in the ICU with a heart attack and with signs of beatings, the Viasna human rights center reports.

Human rights activists became aware of the incident that took place on March 9 in Berazino. According to eyewitnesses, local resident Uladzimir Pantsyukh filmed the actions of traffic police officers who checked minibuses at the bus station. The man considered that the employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate behaved arrogantly and insulted the drivers. When they noticed him with a phone, they ran up to him, threw the man to the ground, and then took him to the police department.

According to human rights activists, an hour later Uladzimir Pantsyukh was taken to the intensive care unit with a heart attack and signs of beatings. Now the man is in the hospital under escort. He has a 3rd degree of disability, Uladzimir Pantsyukh suffered 4 heart attacks and 3 heart bypass surgeries.
