The arrest was also placed on the apartment of human rights activist Valiantsin Stefanovich.

A pro-government Belarusian newspaper reported that in the near future the court could confiscate apartments belonging to Nobel laureate Ales Bialiatski and his wife.

“In the near future, Bialiatski may lose almost everything acquired by overwork in Belarus,” the publication said.

They claim, with a reference to the words of the state prosecutor, that this refers to the apartments-offices of Viasna that are under arrest (in Minsk at Independence Avenue, 78A and Miarzhynski Street, 8-26), as well as an apartment that is registered in the name of Bialiatski's wife.

In addition, the non-residential premises on Chyrvonaya Street, which was called the “Territory of Rights”, and the apartment belonging to the wife of human rights activist Valiantsin Stefanovich, are under arrest.
