The IDF press service published a unique video with four-legged heroes.

The Oketz Unit - a canine special forces unit of the IDF, has been fighting against terror together with other troops of the Israeli army since October 7. On October 14, the IDF Press Service published a unique video. The unit’s fighters save the residents of one of the kibbutzim, according to the Detaly news publisher.

The unit formed three separate combat companies. Together with their dogs, the fighters joined other troops, including the Sayeret Matkal and Shalda special forces. They killed more than ten Hamas terrorists and rescued more than 200 civilians.

The ‘Naru’, who was working at Kibbutz Kfar Aza, was sent to search for terrorists and weapons.

The dog managed to detect an ambush of terrorists waiting for Israeli soldiers. The dog disclosed their position and attacked them. The Naru dog was killed in battle. Soldiers from the Oketz and Shayetet 13 units managed to deliver the dog’s body to its military unit for burial.

Another dog, nicknamed Charlie, discovered a senior Hamas terrorist hiding in the open and attacked him. Thanks to the dog's scent, the military managed to capture the terrorist alive.
