The Ukrainian military destroyed a group of "Wagnerians" in Soledar (Donetsk region) with large-caliber machine guns.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"At the beginning of January, border guards together with units of one of the mechanised brigades of the AFU held back a hostile attack on Soledar. Our aerial reconnaissance detected a group of enemy infantry. The SBGS soldiers reported the information to the Defence Forces' command post and monitored the enemy actions in real time," the statement reads.

The border guards note that as they approached the positions of our defenders, the Wagnerites came under heavy crossfire. Large-calibre machine gun fire inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.

"The defeat of the occupants in this direction was completed by a precise artillery strike, which was also corrected by a border bird," the Border Guard Service added.
