Belarusian Woman 'Gives Good Lesson' To Village Council Chairman With Crutch Near Homel

The official had a quarrel with a woman and paid for it.

The court of Homel district has sentenced a local resident, who was accused of violence against an official carrying out official duties out of revenge for their performance. For hitting the chairman of the village council with a crutch, she was sentenced to three years of serving the sentence at the place of residence and ordered to pay compensation, the press service of the court reported.

The incident happened on April 20 - the woman came to the office of the chairman of the Ulukau village executive committee. An argument broke out, during which the visitor tried to "physically harm" the official, "to humiliate her honor and dignity, solely in connection with her position and the duties of her office".

She hit the victim with a crutch at least eight times and grabbed her by the hair, causing bodily harm.

The court found the woman guilty under Article 366 part 1 of the Criminal Code of violence against a public official performing official duties out of revenge for their performance. She was sentenced to 3 years of serving the sentence at the place of residence and must also pay the victim moral compensation of 5,000 roubles.
