Viktar Babaryka was released from the punishment cell, where he spent 10 days. This was reported in his Telegram channel.

"Viktar Babaryka feels normal. True, the problem with correspondence remains — they don’t give letters to him," Viktar Babaryka Telegram channel reports, specifying that in May Babaryka spent 10 days in a punishment cell.

As reported, the political prisoner was placed in the punishment cell allegedly because of a conflict with a cellmate, in particular, talking in raised tones.

Viktar Babaryka is serving a sentence in the Navapolatsk colony.

Previously, Viktar Babaryka was already brought to disciplinary responsibility and put on a preventive record as a person "prone to hostage-taking, attacks on the administration and hooligan manifestations."

Former banker and presidential candidate Viktar Babaryka was sentenced to 14 years in a reinforced-security penal colony. He is recognized as a political prisoner.
