Lieutenant Colonel From Baranavichy Throws Three Molotov Cocktails Into Internal Troops Vehicles

On June 23, the Court of Baranavichy and Baranavichy District considered a criminal case against pensioner Dzmitry Neshta, who was accused of illegal actions with hunting firearms (Part 1 of Article 295-3 of the Criminal Code) and an act of terrorism (Part 1 of Article 289 of the Criminal Code), according to Viasna.

The case was considered by Judge Yuliyana Shcherba.

Dzmitry Neshta is a military pensioner, he worked in Baranavichy at the 558th aircraft repair plant.

He was arrested in October 2021. He was recently included in the “list of terrorists” according to the KGB.

According to the materials of the investigation, on September 26, 2020, the accused Neshta made three Molotov cocktails in a garage in Baranavichy.

According to the prosecution, in order to convince the servicemen of one of the units of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus to refuse to help the law-enforcement officers during the suppression of protests in the territory of Baranavichy, “acting in a generally dangerous way”, threw three lit Molotov cocktails into the cars of servicemen. Having made sure they flared up, he left the scene.

By the totality of crimes, the defendant was sentenced to 12 years in prison under a reinforced regime.

Dzmitry Neshta was deprived of his military rank of lieutenant colonel.
