An adviser to the mayor has made this announcement.

Russian occupants kidnapped Kherson mayor Igor Kolykhaev. Galina Lyashevskaya, an adviser to the city mayor, reported this on Facebook on June 28.

"They have taken Igor Kolykhaev," Lyashevskaya wrote.

The mayor's adviser did not give any other details.
