Royal Marine Ben Grant Destroys Russian APC-80: Unique Video

The veteran of the British army has explained why he went to fight for Ukraine.

One of the fighters who, as part of a group of foreign volunteers, destroyed a Russian APC-80 in a great video turned out to be 30-year-old former Royal Marine Ben Grant, son of Helen Grant, a Tory MP of the UK parliament, UNIAN reports.

Grant said he made the decision to go to Ukraine after seeing footage of a Russian aircraft bomb destroying a house, where a child's screams could be heard.

Grant explained it in the following way: "I just thought that I am a father of three children and if those were my children, I know what I would do - I would go and fight."

He also said that during one of the battles during a counterattack near Kharkiv, one of his squad members was wounded and they themselves were ambushed by the Russians, who had apparently discovered them using drones.

Ben Grant, who is a veteran of Afghanistan, said he had never seen anything like that before and that the level of fighting in Ukraine could not be compared with anything else.
