Belarusian skier Yahor Shpuntou assessed his performance at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, Tribuna reports.

— I don’t rate myself very well, I actually came to run a sprint. Well, I can't say that I ran to the full extent of my power. I don't know the reasons for that, maybe acclimatization... Well, most likely. The race fell on those days when I felt sluggish, in general. Today I ran 15 kilometers. Not quite my profile, I'm still a sprinter, but I ran in my power, — said Shpuntou.

Yahor Shpuntou finished 68th in the 15 km cross-country skiing race. A total of 94 athletes participated in the race.

Shpuntou is a signatory of the athletes' pro-government letter.

Yesterday, the NOC of Belarus published a video in which Belarusian freestyler Maksim Hustsik admits making mistakes that prevented him from competing for medals: "I can say that I did not perform the way I wanted. It was a poor performance."
