U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price responded to information about the hospitalization of political prisoner Maria Kalesnikava.

"The regime in Belarus bears full responsibility for the health and well-being of Maria Kalesnikava and 1,440 other political prisoners. The perpetrators will be brought to justice," said Ned Price.

Political prisoner Maria Kalesnikava was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Homel hospital. According to preliminary information, she has stomach problems.
