Belarusian Military Forced To Serve Lukashenka, Not People

Soldiers of the military unit 3214 of the Interior Ministry troops in Minsk have taken the oath of allegiance. They didn't swear allegiance to the people of Belarus, reports Charter97.org.

The soldiers were made to swear to serve the dictator, not the people.

Note that servicemen and reservists, first called up(enrolled) for military service, service in the reserve, or citizens not in military service, service in the reserve and called to training for the first time, as well as citizens enrolled in military departments or faculties for training programs of junior commanders and reserve officers, take the military oath as follows:

"I, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus (surname, first name, patronymic), solemnly swear to be devoted to my people, to observe the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus sacredly, to comply with the requirements of military regulations and the orders of commanders and superiors.

I swear to fulfil my military duty with dignity, to defend the independence, territorial integrity and constitutional order of the Republic of Belarus with courage and self-sacrifice".
