General Ben Hodges: Ukraine To Return Crimea And Lost Territories By Summer 2023

  • 1.11.2022, 11:16

Winter will play into the hands of the AFU.

American General Ben Hodges does not even doubt that Ukraine will return all of its lost territories. However, this will not happen before the summer of 2023. The former commander of the US Army in Europe emphasizes that Kyiv will also return Crimea under its jurisdiction.

The day before, the American general in an interview with the Voice of America expressed his prediction about the war in Ukraine, and when Kyiv will be able to return lost territories under its control.

Hodges says the AFU will first regain control of the territories lost after February 24, 2022, and only after that will they begin to solve the Crimea issue. By the end of 2022, the Ukrainian defenders will be able to return the territories that were seized by the occupants after February 24.

The general also has no doubt that the next winter will play into the hands of the Ukrainian defenders. They will fight on their own territory and for their own land. Furthermore, the AFU have strong support from the West, while the Russian Armed Forces have no such support and motivation.

More than 50 countries are ready to help the AFU with everything they can, including winter clothes. The Russian army cannot dream of such progress. Moreover, all mobilized after September 21 are sent to the front not only untrained but also poorly armed and equipped.

Moreover, Hodges says the AFU needs tanks to liberate the entire territory of Ukraine as quickly as possible. The American general urges the West to put aside all far-fetched risks associated with the supply of such military equipment.
