The recruits revolted over decommissioned weapons and "bestial conditions".

Mobilised Russian citizens have revolted in the Belgorod region over living conditions, lack of equipment and being given decommissioned weapons. This was reported by The Insider, citing videos published on social media.

In the video, a man says that about 500 people who are now in the Belgorod Region are not assigned to any unit and have been living "in lousy conditions" for a week. According to him, none of the mobilised men know where they are going, and the weapons issued to them are not listed anywhere. The Russians also complained about the "beastly attitude" of the officers.

"We are not needed, we are not even trained... We spent a huge amount of money just to eat, not to mention the ammunition," says one of the men in the video.

Another mobilized man recorded a video message on the same location, stating "there are over 400 of us, we're not going anywhere, screw them all ... three armoured personnel carriers are here already, with machine guns and cannons".

"We lived for six days in trenches that we dug ourselves, they don't give us tents, we lived in dugouts," he said indignantly.

In another video Russians complain about the "weaponry of the 70s-80s", fever and pneumonia from living outside.

Radio Svaboda journalist Mark Krutov pointed out that some of the men in the video are wearing patches of Wagner PMC fighters and almost all are wearing balaclavas. According to him, the video is being actively distributed by pro-Wagner Telegram channels.
