MiG-31K, Capable Of Carrying Kinzhal Hypersonic Missiles, Arrived In Belarus

They are located at the Machulishchy airfield near Minsk.

On October 16, three MiG-31 supersonic fighter-interceptors were seen in the sky over Minsk, which landed at the airfield in Machulishchy, reports the Belarus Outside the Minsk Belt Road.

The Belarusian Hajun monitoring group found out that these are not standard MiG-31s, but a special modification MiG-31K. It is these fighters that can carry X-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles, and are capable of launching them at a distance of 2,000 km.

In addition, unlike standard MiGs, this fighter model also has an increased fuel capacity and special communications equipment. It was possible to establish the registration numbers of the MiG-31K, which arrived in Belarus: RF-92462, RF-92339 and RF-92333.

It is possible that along with the MiG-31K, the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles were also brought to Belarus. The fact is that on the same day, October 16, three Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (RF-86902, RF-76722, RF-76724) flew to the Machulishchy airfield from the Russian Federation, which could well have brought missiles for launches from MiG-31K.

Thus, there is reason to believe that MiG-31K fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the near future may begin shelling Ukraine from the territory of Belarus with the hypersonic aeroballistic missiles X-47M2 "Kinzhal".
