The End Of Main Currency Supplier In Belarus

The democratic world has taken a confident and principled position.

The most powerful Salihorsk enterprise "Belaruskali" today is a source of foreign currency for the usurper. As of 2019, every sixth ton of potash fertilizers in the world was produced by the Belarusian giant. One can only imagine how large-scale the income from this enterprise would be if the money were spent for the good of the country, and not into the pockets of lackeys and losers.

But speaking of Belaruskali today, one can only recall worn-out museum exhibits, which the company's management calls equipment. One can only guess where the money honestly earned by Belarusian workers goes. Bringing huge profits to the regime, the enterprise has begun to gradually deflate since 2020. Net profit for 2020 fell by 7.2% compared to 2019 and amounted to only 580 thousand Belarusian rubles. It should be noted that in 2020 the West did not take such a principled position as it does now, and the sanctions imposed were secondary. Lukashists are cowardly hiding figures and information about contracts for 2021.

To date, the democratic world has taken a confident and principled position: trading with the regime is a threat to national security. This is how the Lithuanian side explained the termination of the contract, which was concluded in the spring of 2018 and involved the transportation of potash fertilizers with a volume of 11 million tons per year. One of the buyers using the Lithuanian railways for transportation was the Norwegian Yara.

Their history with Belaruskali continued for a year and a half. Despite the pressure from Belarusian workers and human rights activists, the Norwegian company insistently stated that it would continue to buy fertilizers from the Salihorsk enterprise. Most likely, this depended precisely on the fact that it is very difficult to find new suppliers in the intervals between contracting seasons. Moreover, Norway is not a member of the EU. Now, before February, the main month for tenders and new contracts, Yara has finally announced the termination of cooperation with Belaruskali.

This is due to the fact that Lithuania stops the transportation of Belarusian fertilizers through its railways. Namely, this route was the main one for the purchase of potash by the Norwegian side. These 2 key moments should launch a new chain of history with Belaruskali. There is a high probability that others will follow the example of the Norwegian company. Referring to the fact that even such a reputable company does not risk dealing with the Belarusian regime, and it is then that the price of the issue will become too significant for the Belarusian regime.

Also, if potash goes on sale through Russian railways, it will affect its price. Which is an even greater reason for buyers of this product.

With the advent of a new democratic era, I am sure that old contracts will not only be renewed, but a large number of new ones will also be concluded. And with the new leadership of the country, the proceeds will really go to the improvement of equipment and worker safety. After all, despite the fact that Yara has stated that it remains in Belarus to support the safety of workers, accidents are constantly occurring, and they are often fatal or with severe injury to personnel.

A miner is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, and working as a miner with old equipment is tantamount to playing Russian roulette. 2022 has just begun, and on January 11, one of the workers is already injured. At around 670 meters deep, a driver of mining machines was injured. Therefore, it is also important for the workers themselves to take care of their safety and, in case of any deviation in the equipment, immediately stop any work. Contracts are contracts, but we have only one life.
