49% Of Smuggled Cigarettes In Ukraine Are Of Belarusian Origin

49% of smuggled cigarettes in Ukraine are of Belarusian origin. This conclusion is contained in the study by the Kantar group. It was conducted on a sample of 3,300 cigarette consumers over 18.5 years old, according to a study by the Kantar group.
"Among the smuggled goods, the first place is taken by the products of Belarusian tobacco factories - 49%. The most common brands of this group are Credo, Fest, Queen, NZ".
At the same time, in general, there is a decrease in the level of smuggling to 1.7% of tobacco products consumed in Ukraine. The share of counterfeits increased to 5% in 2021, to 7.6% - of products intended for Duty Free or export. The total share of illegal tobacco products in consumption is 14.4%.
