Zelensky Ordered To Strengthen Protection Of Belarusians In Ukraine

The Interior Ministry and the Security Service of Ukraine will be in charge of the protection.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has instructed the Security Service and the Interior Ministry to examine all risks and provide unconditional protection for Belarusian citizens who have arrived in Ukraine over the past year and who may be at risk of criminal encroachment in connection with their political or social activities.

The day before it became known about the death of the head of the "Belarusian House in Ukraine" Vital Shyshou. As reported by his associates, at first the emigrant stopped answering his phone, having not returned home after a jog, and soon his body was found in a Kiev park.

Zelensky said he took personal control over the investigation of the Belarusian opposition activist's death.
