Merkel Reacted To Actions Of Belarusian Authorities On Lithuanian Border

Minsk is using migrants in its conflict with Vilnius.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called Belarus' policy of letting migrants into Lithuania, an EU member country, unacceptable, Reuters reported. The German Chancellor sees a political component of Minsk in the aforementioned migration crisis.

The Lithuanian authorities have repeatedly stated that the Belarusian authorities might be involved in the migrant crisis, threatened with sanctions and appealed to the European Union for help. In the last day 110 people came to Lithuania illegally from our country, most of them are Iraqis. This year, the number of illegal aliens apprehended by Lithuanian border guards has increased 29-fold!
