The EU Council of Foreign Ministers approved new sanctions against the Belarusian regime. 78 individuals and 8 companies will fall under them.

The sanctions list includes businessmen, members of the Lukashenka family, university rectors, prosecutors, judges, Interior Ministry officials, and high-ranking military personnel, RFE / RL Brussels correspondent Rikard Jozwiak reported. Sanctions include account freezes and visa bans.

The complete list will be published today in the official journal of the European Union.
