Fans of the Polish FC "Legia" have supported the detained Belarusian fan, the Healthy Life Club telegram-channel informs.

On May 16, during the match between "Legia" and "Podbeskidzie," soccer fans put up a banner in support of the fan detained in Belarus.

In August 2020, Jim (as his friends call him) was forced to flee to Poland because of accusations of organizing a strike.

Already after two months of living abroad and in his interview, there was a great desire to return to his homeland:

"I really want to go home! In Belarus, a bush of lilacs near my doorstep is dearer to me than a palm tree by the sea... I did not ask for political asylum, I did not ask for help. I will never change my passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus! I am not a criminal, the truth is on my side".

Later he returned to Belarus, where he was detained. As a sign of support and solidarity, the fans of "Legia" put up a banner "To JIM, To VOVA! To All The Brave - Freedom!" on the stands.

It should be noted that Legia defeated Podbeskidzie 1-0 and won the gold medals of the Polish soccer championship.
