Azerbaijan To Supply Zero Oil To Belarus This May

  • 16.05.2021, 16:38

Oil from Azerbaijan did not enter Belarus in April either.

The Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR will not supply oil to Belarus in May due to the lack of a request from the Belarusian side. It was reported by euroradio.fm with a reference to Ibrahim Akhmedov, Deputy Head of the Department for Organization of Events and Public Relations of SOCAR.

Oil from Azerbaijan did not enter Belarus in April either.

- Our cooperation with Belarus on oil supplies continues. At the same time, we do not violate international sanctions, - says Ibrahim Akhmedov.

Perhaps such a situation occurred because the Mazyr oil refinery usually stops working in June to carry out repairs. It was previously planned that this will happen in mid-May. This is where 1 million tons of Azerbaijani oil should go in 2021. Of this volume, Belarus imported 360.1 thousand tons of oil in the first quarter.
