State Border Service spokesman Andrei Demchenko explained the decision by the close cooperation between Belarus and Russia, including a constant reference to the external border of the "union state".

However, he noted that the situation near the border with Belarus remains peaceful. The Ukrainian side does not register any movement of military equipment and units near the border on the Belarusian side.
