The leader of the Belarusian opposition admires the Belarusians, who have been fighting for seven months already.

Maryna Adamovich, the wife of leader of the Belarusian opposition and political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich, published his another letter on Facebook:

- Of course, I follow the events as much as possible. Already nothing is surprising in the actions of the authorities against the protesters. All the more respect is given to those who continue to fight for seven months, despite the high cost of such a position.

We have not had such a long struggle for 20 years. The street struggle for independence in 1996-2000 lasted four years, and dozens of demonstrations were held. But they were held less frequently than now. After all, then the Internet was not widespread, in order to gather people, it was necessary to distribute leaflets and posters.

After the Freedom March on October 17, 1999, the authorities retreated and refused to “integrate on any terms.” Then the country was saved. And now they won't sell it so easily - we won't give it away.

Now it’s us who form the majority.
