Their office in Minsk remains sealed.

Deputy Chair of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Barys Haretski has said in an interview to Radio Racyja that there are two ways of the possible development of the situation:

– Either they detain all of us at a certain moment, if the guys on top decide the pressure on human rights defenders, on the civil society, on journalists must be continued. Or we will linger in this state without equipment, without an office, but free. There have been no calls. However, if they want to meet with us they can do it in no time.

In the early morning of February 16, the police came to raid the office of the BAJ, the apartments of its management, as well as the houses of journalists, human rights defenders, and representatives of independent trade unions throughout the country.
