Boycott of Housing and Communal Services: the Number of Unpaid Bills

The number amounts to hundreds of thousands.

As of January 1, more than 400 thousand utility bills remain unpaid, said Minister of Housing Andrei Khmel, reports naviny.by.

"In October-December last year, the number of overdue personal accounts amounted to 470-490 thousand, while on January 1, we see the figure of a little over 400 thousand. But it does not mean that 400 thousand personal accounts are non-payers. Seventy percent of them have arrears of no more than three months," said the minister.

According to him, the list of non-payers also includes those who forgot to pay by the 25th day of each month or underpaid 1-2 rubles.
