The Lukashenka activists have tainted themselves by one more crime against the Belarusians.

It took three days for the court of Frunzenski district of Minsk to consider the criminal case against Yekaterina Andreeva (Bakhvalova) and Daria Chultsova, the journalists of Belsat, who had been broadcasting from The Square of Change on 15 November 2020, reports tut.by.

State prosecutor Alina Kasyanchik requested two years imprisonment in a minimum-security penal colony for each of them. Today, judge Natallia Buhuk sentenced journalists to two years' imprisonment in the penal colony.

Yekaterina Bakhvalova Andreeva and Daria Chultsova were detained on the evening of 15 November 2020. On that day, they were broadcasting live from an apartment in the house on the Square of Change, where a spontaneous memorial to Raman Bandarenka had appeared. For more than five hours, Yekaterina and Daria were broadcasting live, showing people gathering, law enforcement officers arriving and detaining people, and then liquidating the people's memorial. When the participants of the rally dispersed, the riot police entered the apartment with the journalists in and detained them.

Human rights activists recognized girls as political prisoners.

In their last statement, the journalists stressed that all materials of the case indicate their innocence.
