He was detained together with his wife.

Head of the Belarusian Football Federation Uladzimir Bazanau has been detained in the Czech Republic.

The head of the ABFF was detained by the police along with his wife. He is suspected of violating the rules of entry into the country.

Uladzimir Bazanau, together with his wife, went to the away game of the women's national team of Belarus against the national team of the Czech Republic, which will be held on November 30 in Opava. Before that, the ABFF chairman had already watched the game of the Belarusians against the Cyprus team (1:1).

Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulganek commented on the presence of Uladzimir Bazanau in the Czech Republic.

“At the moment, the ministry has no information that this person is on our territory. This is currently being investigated. This person was not granted a Czech entry visa.

If it turns out that he is indeed in the Czech Republic, appropriate administrative measures will be taken, up to deportation. If he is really here, he will have to leave the Czech Republic,” said Kulganek. The Foreign Minister noted that if Bazanau arrived in the Czech Republic, it was not by plane.
