Iraq Will Help Migrants Stuck on the Belarusian-Lithuanian Border to Return Home

The Iraqi government will work to return home Iraqi migrants stranded on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, NRT Digital Media reports.

Deputy Minister of the Federal Ministry for Displacement and Migration Affairs Karim Nuri said on October 2 that the Iraqi government would work to return home Iraqi migrants who are currently stranded on the border between Lithuania and Belarus.

According to him, there are now 275 Iraqi citizens at the border. These include 14 families who are housed in 29 refugee camps. He noted that the ministry is closely monitoring the conditions of their detention and will also help with voluntary repatriation.
