We Need To Get Rid Of Allergen

The actions of the Lukashists increasingly conflict with the basic moral norms of the Belarusians.

Maryna Adamovich, wife of one of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition, political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich, has published another letter of the politician from the detention center:

- Belarusians have gradually developed a strong moral allergy to the authorities. The attempts of the latter to remove external symptoms of this allergy by tough methods have only intensified it.

The actions of the authorities increasingly conflict with the basic moral norms of our people. The authorities cannot and will not be able to change these norms as they are written in the genetic memory of the Belarusians.

For thousands of years these moral norms have ensured coexistence and joint survival of our ancestors in the conditions of the severe climate and during enemy raids. Therefore no propaganda can abolish them.

And the tough treatment of the moral allergy to power with violence and repression can only temporarily hide the outward manifestations of this allergy. Yet at the price of further strengthening this allergy and depleting the mechanism of power.

Allergies, as we know, cannot be cured. The only way out is to get rid of the allergen.
