Criminal Kaniuk will be assigned to work as a diplomat.

Andrei Shved, who has so far headed the State Committee for Forensic Examinations, has been appointed Prosecutor General of Belarus. The corresponding personnel decision has been taken by Lukashenka today, BelTA informs.

The dictator noted that Aliaksandr Kaniuk had been working as the Prosecutor General for 9 years. "He knows foreign languages. He has a desire to work in the diplomatic service. I do not mind such a desire. We should contact the Minister of Foreign Affairs and ask him to prepare his proposals," - Lukashenka said.
