UK and Canada Imposed Sanctions Against Lukashenka and Belarusian Officials

Britain and Canada have imposed sanctions against Lukashenka, his son Viktar, and other high-ranking officials, the press service of the British Foreign Office reported.

The sanctions included: Aliaksandr Lukashenka, Viktar Lukashenka, head of the dictator's administration Ihar Sergeenka, Interior Minister Yury Karajeu, Deputy Interior Minister Aliaksandr Barsukou, Deputy Interior Minister Yury Nazarenka, Deputy Commander of the Interior Ministry's internal troops Kazalbek Atabekov, head of the Minsk AMAP Dzmitry Balaba.

British sanctions against Lukashenka include a travel ban and an asset freeze.

Canada has introduced similar measures.
