The usurper has not made any conclusions about the situation in the country.

Common candidate of the opposition in the presidential elections 2001 Uladzimir Hancharyk has assessed the recent protest actions in Belarus in a comment to udf.by.

"People remain of the same mind, they are convinced that the elections were rigged, that the ruler of the country behaved incorrectly and inadequately," - Hancharyk said.

In his opinion, lately Lukashenka has done a lot to ensure that the protests continue and do not stop.

"He is not working for reconciliation, but on the contrary, he is aggravating the situation. He has not made any conclusions from what happened," - Hancharyk believes.

In his opinion, now "the essence of the protests is not the number of participants," because over time "quantity is transformed into quality".

"The most important thing in the current situation is that people did not accept the situation. The most terrible enemies are fear and indifference - and today Belarusians are successfully overcoming them," - Hancharyk believes.

In his opinion, the attempts to bring down the protest activity in the streets with the help of repressions "only drive the disease inside".

"The problems are not being solved. And then anything can become a cause for a new spontaneous explosion," - Hancharyk said.
