Latvia Did Not Recognize Lukashenka's Legitimacy

The foreign minister of the country made a statement.

Latvia has not recognized the legitimacy of Lukashenka's rule. Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics wrote on Twitter:

- Secret "inauguration" of Aliaksandr Lukashenka in Belarus does not legitimize election fraud and his status as head of state.

Regrettable that the voices of Belarusian people and the international community do not matter; only a genuine political process can end the political crisis in Belarus.
