Eternal Flame Was Out In Minsk

This morning, the Eternal Flame was temporarily out at the Victory Monument, onliner.by reports.

After the report about it, the employees of Mingaz arrived to the monument and solved the problem. The rescuers also visited the Eternal Flame, but their help was not needed.

The exact cause of what happened is still unknown. It may have gone out because of the rain, as it was in June 2013. The official information about what happened will be published as soon as possible.

The Eternal Flame was set on July 3, 1961, the day of the 17th anniversary of the liberation of Minsk. Colonel General Aliaksei Burdzeiny, Hero of the Soviet Union, set fire to it.
