92 people disappeared during protests in Belarus; authorities hide the death toll

Journalists launch a service to search for missing persons after August 9.

Thousands of people were detained throughout the country during the post-election protests. For several days their relatives and friends tried to get at least some information about them. Many have not been found so far.

According to journalists, 92 people are currently missing in the whole country. Tut.by launched a service to search for missing persons after August 9.

We remind that the official representative of the Ministry of Health of Belarus Yulia Vanina confirmed the deaths of the protesters. "They died before reaching the hospitals," said a spokeswoman for the department. The exact death toll is hushed up.
