In the first half of the year, all market participants in Belarus bought foreign currency for $1 billion 192.7 million more than sold it.

Belarusians bought foreign currency worth $658.2 million more than sold in the first half of the year. This is evidenced by the statistics of the National Bank, BelTA informs.

Within six months of this year, individuals bought cash and non-cash currency of $4 billion 704.5 million in equivalent, while sold - $4 billion 46.3 million. Net purchase of foreign currency by individuals amounted to $658.2 million.

Business entities - residents of Belarus - bought foreign currency at $11 billion 12.7 million in equivalent, sold - $10 billion 213.1 million.

Net purchase of foreign currency by residents amounted to $799.6 million.

Non-residents of Belarus bought foreign currency at $144.5 million in equivalent and sold - $409.6 million.

The net sale of foreign currency by non-residents amounted to $265.1 million.
